Advanced Overtime (OT) Salary Calculator

Estimate overtime pay, regular hourly rate and total pay using your selected wage base, working hours and overtime multiplier.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the monthly wage amount applicable to your overtime calculation.
  2. Select monthly or weekly working-hours basis.
  3. Enter normal working hours and total overtime hours.
  4. Select the OT multiplier applicable to your situation.
  5. Click Calculate OT Pay to see the estimated result.

Calculation Formula

Hourly rate = applicable wage amount ÷ normal working hours for the selected period.

Overtime rate = hourly rate × OT multiplier.

Overtime pay = overtime rate × eligible overtime hours.

Estimated total pay = monthly wage entered + overtime pay.

Worked Example

If monthly wages used for OT are ₹30,000, normal monthly hours are 208, overtime is 10 hours and the example multiplier is 2×:

  • Hourly rate: ₹30,000 ÷ 208 = ₹144.23
  • OT rate: ₹144.23 × 2 = ₹288.46 per hour
  • Estimated OT pay: ₹288.46 × 10 = ₹2,884.62
  • Estimated total before other adjustments: ₹32,884.62
